| Our Barnacle
seafloor platforms provide a rugged, inexpensive,
trawl-resistant mount for your profiler or other
instrument. The Barnacle's all-fiberglass monocoque
construction is immensely strong, yet easy to
handle.
Lead ballast weights are inserted from the outside.
The instrument mount (with or without gimbal assembly)
and battery pack may be inserted or removed while
the platform is on the seafloor.
For deep deployments, the Barnacle 60P will house
a pop-up buoy system.
