Oceanside, California—October 15, 2006. The Oceanscience Group, Ltd. announces the hiring of Dr. Jochen Klinke as Senior Scientist.

Dr. Klinke comes to Oceanscience from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He has a background in applied physics with a focus on imaging technology. He specializes in mechanical, optical, and electronic design of scientific instrumentation, and has built real time imaging systems for laboratory and ocean applications.

Dr. Klinke will lead research and development, including the Underway CTD winch system, developed in partnership with Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Sea-Bird.

The Oceanscience Group manufactures a wide variety of oceanographic and hydrologic equipment for universities, government agencies and private industry.
