Oceanside, California - 28 April, 2008

On April 28, 1998, The Oceanscience Group was founded by Dr. Ron George to provide reasonably-priced, well-crafted surface and seafloor platforms for oceanographers and hydrologists.   As the price of ADCP’s dropped, a broader group of researchers took advantage of the technology.  Oceanscience filled the growing need for mounting systems with the Sea Spider, Barnacle and Riverboat.

Over the next ten years, Oceanscience’s product lines grew to include remote-controlled boats, rugged, watertight communications systems, cableway ROVs and the revolutionary Underway CTD. 

Oceanscience also manufactures original equipment components under contract to partner companies, allowing us to participate in developing leading edge products for a wider group of scientists and engineers around the world. 

The future of Oceanscience is bright as the company continues to provide our partners and customers the tools needed to better understand our environment.
