Hydrologic Monitoring

Defining the Future of Deployment Platforms

Oceanscience has supplied field survey equipment to the hydrologic monitoring industry since 2001, when the Riverboat tethered boat for riverine deployment of acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) was introduced. As acoustic profilers have increasingly been applied to hydrology, Oceanscience has developed new tethered and remote control ADCP boats, powerful radio modems, cableway ROV's, and completed many custom projects to maximize the value of ADCPs to hydrologists.

Supporting Hydrologists on Every Continent

Our goal is to maximize your data quality, save your survey time, and improve your personnel safety. Whether you study lakes, streams, or rivers we can provide off-the-shelf or custom platforms to help your field work. Use the High Speed Riverboat to extend the capability of your acoustic profilers to measure water velocity in extreme conditions, or the latest Q-Boat for the ultimate in remotely controlled ADCP survey flexibility and efficiency. Virtually all major national Hydrometric organizations use Oceanscience equipment to deploy their acoustic profiling instruments. From the USGS and Environment Canada in North America to the BfG and EAUK in Europe and Offices of Water in Australia, we provide the hydrologic world with world-class products and support.
